Sita Kalyanam | Sonnet – 1 | Birth of Lord Ram
God of glory learnt of Ravan’s bad fury,
promised heavens help to create harmony;
Plan of action was set in motion by jury,
angels turned into clan of kapi as progeny.
Ram was born as prince of mighty valor,
regalia of Lord have turned as siblings of Raghava;
Hanuma was born as kapi with renowned splendor,
world awaited anxiously for reign of Paratpara.
Goddess of fortune with powers of reincarnation,
arose from fields as baby with gleamy eyes;
King of Mithila was delighted by amazing benefaction,
found greatest wealth as a divine surprise.
God has come as Ram to prove his kind grace,
faith is Ram as Icon, faith is God’s peace.
